The Cyndi Black Big Band brings back the music of the "Big Band Era" for your dancing and listening pleasure. The band's seventeen members have been performing together in the Columbus, Ohio area since 1985. We play a wide variety of standards from the '30's, '40's, 50's (and beyond) in addition to swing, foxtrots, rumbas, cha-chas, tangos, mambos, sambas, waltzes, and polkas for ballroom dancers. 

The Cyndi Black Big Band is available to perform for social dances, formal dances, wedding receptions, anniversary parties, corporate events, holiday parties, ballroom dances, formal concerts and summer outdoor concerts.

Each program is custom selected for the enjoyment of our audience.  There is a difference in programming for concerts and dances.  When we play concerts, we program for the ears.  When we play for dancers, we program for the feet which requires a wider variety of music incorporating the many different dance steps.
